World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Singapore beats Cambodia 4-0
PHNOM PENH, Jun. 11, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Singapore defeated Cambodia by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium.
Safuwan scored dual goals
Singapore dominated the first half thanks to goals from Khairul ('9) and Safuwan ('21, '35). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Singaporeans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Fazrul in the 55th minute.
The result put the Singaporeans top of Group E with 3 points. In their next game, Singapore will meet second-placed Japan at the Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium on June 16, while Cambodia will face Afghanistan.
