PHNOM PENH, Nov. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Japan defeated Cambodia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium.
Cambodia made the Japaneses doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Laboravy ('51 own) and Honda ('90).
The result put the Japanese top of Group E with 16 points. Cambodia is bottom with no points. In their next game, Japan will meet Afghanistan at the Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium on March 24, while Cambodia will face Syria.
