SAITAMA, Mar. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Japan defeated Afghanistan by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the Saitama Stadium 2002 in Saitama.
The result put the Japanese top of Group E with 19 points. Afghanistan is fourth with 6 points. In their last game, Japan will meet second-placed Syria at the Saitama Stadium 2002 on March 29, while Afghanistan will face Singapore.
