World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Thailand defeats Vietnam 3-0
HANOI, Oct. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Thailand defeated Vietnam by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi.
Thailand dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Kroekrit in the 29th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Thais further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Đinh Tiến Thành '56/own and Theerathon '70).
The result put the Thai top of Group F with 10 points. Vietnam is third with 4 points. In their next game, Thailand will meet Taiwan at the My Dinh National Stadium on November 12, while Vietnam will face Indonesia.
