World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Thailand defeats Taiwan 4-2
BANGKOK, Nov. 12, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Thailand defeated Taiwan by a score of 4-2 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok.
Yaki Yen opened the score in the 3rd minute, before seeing Thailand catch up in the 41st minute thanks to Teerasil Dangda. 1-1 at half time. The Thais eventually won the game in the second period with three more goals by Pokklaw ('52), Adisak ('72) and Tana ('74).
The result put the Thai top of Group F with 13 points. Taiwan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Thailand will meet second-placed Iraq at the Rajamangala National Stadium on March 24, while Taiwan will face Iraq.
