World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Laos draw 2-2 with Burma
VIENTIANE, Jun. 11, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Laos tied 2-2 with Burma (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the New Laos National Stadium in Vientiane.
The Burmeses started off well by taking the lead thanks to Zaw Min Tun in the 41st minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Kyaw Zayar Win goal ('85) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Laos with dual goals from Sayavutthi ('81/penalty and '83.
The result left both teams tied in the second place of Group G with one point. In their next game, Burma will meet third-placed South Korea at the New Laos National Stadium on June 16, while Laos will face Lebanon.
