SIDON, Jun. 11, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Kuwait defeated Lebanon by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday afternoon at the Saida International Stadium.
Lebanon made the Kuwaitis doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Nasser with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Kuwaiti top of Group G with 3 points. In their next game, Kuwait will meet Laos at the Saida International Stadium on September 8, while Lebanon will face Laos.
