World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Lebanon beats Laos 2-0
VIENTIANE, Jun. 16, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Lebanon defeated Laos by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the New Laos National Stadium in Vientiane.
Lebanon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Ghaddar in the 5th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Lebaneses further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Shamsin in the 75th minute.
The result put the Lebanese second in Group G with 3 points. Laos is bottom with one point. In their next game, Lebanon will meet group leaders South Korea at the New Laos National Stadium on September 8, while Laos will face South Korea.
