KUWAIT CITY, Oct. 8, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : South Korea defeated Kuwait by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday afternoon at the Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium in Kuwait City.
All the action happened in the first half, with Korean midfielder Koo Ja-cheol goal in the 12th minute.
The result put the Koreans top of Group G with 12 points. Kuwait is second with 6 points. In their next game, South Korea will meet Burma at the Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium on November 12, while Kuwait will face Lebanon.
