BANGKOK, Oct. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Burma defeated Laos by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Suphachalasai Stadium in Bangkok.

Laos opened the score in the score in the 2nd minute thanks to Sayavutthi, before Burma regained the advantage with Suan Lam Mang ('13) and Kyaw Ko Ko ('32). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Burmeses further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Aung Thu in the 50th minute.

The result put the Burmese fourth in Group G with 4 points. Laos is bottom with one point. In their next game, Burma will meet group leaders South Korea at the Suphachalasai Stadium on November 12, while Laos will face Lebanon.
