BULAKAN, Jun. 11, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : The Philippines defeated Bahrain by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulakan.
45 minutes of play and neither the Filipinos nor the Bahrainis have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Bahadoran ('50) and Patiño ('60).
The result put the Filipino top of Group H with 3 points. In their next game, the Philippines will meet Yemen at the Philippine Sports Stadium on June 16, while Bahrain will face North Korea.
