World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : North Korea beats Uzbekistan 4-2
PYONGYANG, Jun. 16, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : North Korea defeated Uzbekistan by a score of 4-2 (halftime: 4-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday afternoon at the Kim Il-sung Stadium in Pyongyang.
North Korea dominated the first half thanks to goals from Pak Kwang-ryong ('4), Jang Kuk-chol ('16), Ro Hak-su ('34) and Ri Hyok-chol ('36). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Koreans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
The result put the Koreans top of Group H with 6 points. In their next game, North Korea will meet third-placed Bahrain at the Kim Il-sung Stadium on September 3, while Uzbekistan will face Yemen.
