DOHA, Jun. 16, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : The Philippines defeated Yemen by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the suheim-bin-hamad-stadium in Doha.
45 minutes of play and neither the Filipinos nor the Yemenis have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Bahadoran ('52) and Ramsay ('74).
The result put the Filipino second in Group H with 6 points. Yemen is bottom with no points. In their next game, the Philippines will meet Uzbekistan at the suheim-bin-hamad-stadium on September 8, while Yemen will face Uzbekistan.
