RIFFA, Sep. 3, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : North Korea defeated Bahrain by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the Bahrain National Stadium in Riffa.
All the action happened in the first half, with Jong Il-gwan goal in the 42nd minute.
The result put the Koreans top of Group H with 9 points. Bahrain is fourth with no points. In their next game, North Korea will meet second-placed the Philippines at the Bahrain National Stadium on October 8, while Bahrain will face Yemen.
