World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Bahrain beats Yemen 4-0
DOHA, Sep. 8, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Bahrain defeated Yemen by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Grand Hamad Stadium in Doha.
Bahrain dominated the first half thanks to goals from Ali Baba ('31 on penalty) and Al-Husaini ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Bahrainis further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Omar '66 and Adnan '77).
The result put the Bahraini third in Group H with 3 points. Yemen is bottom with no points. In their next game, Bahrain will meet Uzbekistan at the Grand Hamad Stadium on October 8, while Yemen will face North Korea.
