RIFFA, Oct. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Bahrain defeated the Philippines by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Bahrain National Stadium in Riffa.
The Philippines made the Bahrainis doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Abdullatif ('53) and Adnan ('61).
The result put the Filipino third in Group H with 7 points. Bahrain is fourth with 6 points. In their next game, the Philippines will meet Yemen at the Bahrain National Stadium on November 12, while Bahrain will face North Korea.
