PYONGYANG, Oct. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : North Korea defeated Yemen by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday afternoon at the Kim Il-sung Stadium in Pyongyang.
All the action happened in the first half, with Jong Il-gwan goal on penalty in the 12th minute.
The result put the Koreans top of Group H with 13 points. Yemen is bottom with no points. In their next game, North Korea will meet second-placed Uzbekistan at the Kim Il-sung Stadium on November 12, while Yemen will face the Philippines.
