TEHRAN, Oct. 11, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Iran defeated South Korea by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Azadi Stadium in Tehran.
All the action happened in the first half, with Azmoun goal in the 25th minute.
The result put the Iranians top of Group A with 10 points. South Korea is third with 7 points. In their next game, Iran will meet Syria at the Azadi Stadium on November 15, while South Korea will face Uzbekistan.
