World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Qatar defeats South Korea 3-2
DOHA, Jun. 13, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Qatar defeated South Korea by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha.
Al-Haidos scored dual goals
Qatar dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Al-Haidos in the 25th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Qataris further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Afif '51 and Al-Haidos '75).
The result put the Koreans second in Group A with 13 points. Qatar is 5th with 7 points. In their next game, South Korea will meet group leaders Iran at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on August 31, while Qatar will face Syria.
