World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Iran qualify for World Cup, Syria face play-off
TEHRAN, Sep. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Iran tied 2-2 with Syria (halftime: 1-1), in a World Cup qualifying game on Tuesday night at the Azadi Stadium in Tehran.
One goal for both sides in the first half, Azmoun ('45) for Iran, Haj Mohamad ('13) for Syria and one each in the second, Azmoun ('64) for Iran, Al Somah ('90) for Syria.
Iran secured their ticket to the finals but Syria will have to go through the playoffs.Fixtures and Results : Third Round Group A
