World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Thailand hold Australia to 2-2
BANGKOK, Nov. 15, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Thailand tied 2-2 with Australia (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok.
One goal for both sides in the first half, Dangda ('20) for Thailand, Jedinak ('9 on penalty) for Australia and one each in the second, Dangda ('57 on penalty) for Thailand, Jedinak ('65 on penalty) for Australia.
The result put the Australians second in Group B with 9 points. Thailand is bottom with one point. In their next game, Australia will meet Iraq at the Rajamangala National Stadium on March 23, while Thailand will face Saudi Arabia.
