World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Australia beats Saudi Arabia 3-2
ADELAIDE, Jun. 8, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Australia defeated Saudi Arabia by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-2), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the Adelaide Oval.
Juric scored dual goals
Two goals for both sides during the first half, Juric (7e, 36e) for Australia, Al-Dawsari (23e) and Al-Sahlawi (45e) for Saudi Arabia. After the break, the Socceroos settled the issue with another goal courtesy of player Rogic in the 64th minute.
The result put the Saudi second in Group B with 16 points. Australia is third with 16 points. In their next game, Saudi Arabia will meet the United Arab Emirates at the Adelaide Oval on August 29, while Australia will face Japan.
