BANGKOK, Jun. 13, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (Asian Qualifiers) : Thailand tied 1-1 with the United Arab Emirates (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok.
No goals in the first half and one each in the second, Mongkol ('69) for Thailand, Mabkhout ('90) for the United Arab Emirates.
The result put the Emirati fourth in Group B with 10 points. Thailand is bottom with 2 points. In their next game, the United Arab Emirates will meet second-placed Saudi Arabia at the Rajamangala National Stadium on August 29, while Thailand will face Iraq.
