SAN SALVADOR, Mar. 25, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (American Qualifiers) : El Salvador tied 2-2 with Honduras (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Cuscatlan Stadium in San Salvador.
One goal for both sides in the first half, Punyed ('45) for El Salvador, Elis ('19) for Honduras and one each in the second, Bonilla ('88) for El Salvador, Lozano ('59) for Honduras.
The result put the Salvadorans third in Group A with 2 points. Honduras is bottom with one point. In their next game, El Salvador will meet Honduras at the Cuscatlan Stadium on March 29, while Honduras will face El Salvador.
