VANCOUVER, Sep. 6, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (American Qualifiers) : Canada defeated El Salvador by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup qualifying game on Tuesday night at BC Place in Vancouver.
Canada dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Larin in the 11th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Canadians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ledgerwood '53 and Edgar '90).
