GERMANY, May. 17, 2015 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 33: After losing 3-0 to SpVgg Greuther Fürth on May 8 and 0-2 to VfR Aalen on May 8, Fortuna Düsseldorf returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over SV Sandhausen this Sunday.
Fortuna Düsseldorf dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Austrian forward Erwin Hoffer in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Fortuna Düsseldorf players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Liendl in stoppage time.
