GERMANY, Dec. 11, 2015 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 18: After their 1-1 draw against VfL Bochum on December 6, FC Heidenheim returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over 1860 Munich this Friday.
FC Heidenheim midfielder Ben Halloran opened the score in the 6th minute, before seeing 1860 Munich catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Rubin Okotie. 1-1 at half time. FC Heidenheim eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Leipertz ('54) and Morabit ('83).
1. FC Heidenheim 1846 climbed to 9th place with 24 points from 18 games, only one point behind SpVgg Greuther Fürth, which has a game in hand.
