GERMANY, Apr. 9, 2017 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 28: After their 3-3 draw against Dynamo Dresden on April 5 and 1-1 draw against 1860 Munich on April 5, Die Roten returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Karlsruher SC this Sunday.
Asano Takuma scored dual goals
Stuttgart dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Asano Takuma in the 27th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Die Roten further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Asano Takuma in the 61st minute.
VfB Stuttgart climbed to first place with 54 points from 28 games, one point ahead of runner-up Hannover 96.
