DUSHANBE, Aug. 3, 1999 (AMP) — Lebanon 2000 (Qualifiers) : Iraq defeated Tajikistan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2000 AFC Asian Cup on Tuesday.
The result put the Iraqi second in Group 1 with 3 points. In their next game, Iraq will meet group leaders Oman on August 5, while Tajikistan will face Kyrgyzstan.
