GERMANY, Oct. 16, 2015 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 9: After losing 5-1 to Bayern Munich on October 4, BVB bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Mainz this Friday.
Borussia Dortmund dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Marco Reus in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, BVB further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Mkhitaryan with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Borussia Dortmund remains in second place with 20 points from 9 games, 4 points behind Bayern Munich, which has a game in hand.
