GERMANY, Sep. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 2: After a 2-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen on August 27, the Foals lost 3-1 against SC Freiburg.

Mönchengladbach had started off well by taking the lead in the 35th minute with a goal by Belgian midfielder Thorgan Hazard. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Breisgau-Brasilianer nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Philipp '54, '85 and Petersen '88 on penalty).
SC Freiburg climbed to fifth place with 3 points from 2 games, only one point behind 1. FC Köln and VfL Wolfsburg.
