GERMANY, Sep. 11, 2016 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 2: The match between Mainz and Hoffenheim ended in a 4-4 draw on Sunday.
Mainz players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by De Blasis Pablo ('3, '23), Cordoba Jhon ('27) and Oztunali Levin ('43) while Hoffenheim only scored once Wagner ('39). However, even though they were leading 4-1 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Hoffenheim with goals by Uth Mark ('71, '72) and Ádám Szalai ('84).
TSG 1899 Hoffenheim are down in 13rd place with 2 points from 2 games, one point behind SV Darmstadt 98.
