GERMANY, Apr. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 27: After their 3-3 draw against Wolfsburg on April 2, Bayer Leverkusen returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Darmstadt 98 this Wednesday.
Bayer Leverkusen dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Julian Brandt in the 15th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Bayer Leverkusen players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Volland in the 56th minute.
Bayer Leverkusen climbed to 10th place with 35 points from 27 games, only one point behind Borussia Mönchengladbach.
