BATA, Jan. 21, 2015 (AMP) — Equatorial Guinea 2015 : Congo-Brazzaville defeated Gabon by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a AFCON group stage game on Wednesday night at the Estadio de Bata.
Gabon made the Congoleses doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Congolese midfielder Prince Oniangue in the 48th minute.
The result put the Congolese top of Group A with 4 points. Gabon is second with 3 points. In their last game, Congo-Brazzaville will meet Burkina Faso at the Estadio de Bata on January 25, while Gabon will face Equatorial Guinea.
