PORT-GENTIL, Jan. 21, 2017 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 : Egypt defeated Uganda by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a AFCON group stage game on Saturday night at the Port-Gentil Stadium.
Uganda made the Egyptians doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Said with one minute left in regular time.
The result put the Egyptians second in Group D with 4 points. Uganda is bottom with no points. In their last game, Egypt will meet group leaders Ghana at the Port-Gentil Stadium on January 25, while Uganda will face Mali.
