PORT-GENTIL, Jan. 25, 2017 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 : Egypt defeated Ghana by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a AFCON group stage game on Wednesday night at the Port-Gentil Stadium.

All the action happened in the first half, with Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Salah goal in the 11th minute.

Egypt and Ghana both advance to the Quarterfinals.
