PORT-GENTIL, Jan. 21, 2017 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 : Ghana defeated Mali by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a AFCON group stage game on Saturday afternoon at the Port-Gentil Stadium.
All the action happened in the first half, with Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan goal in the 21st minute.
The result put the Ghanaians top of Group D with 6 points. Mali is third with one point. In their last game, Ghana will meet second-placed Egypt at the Port-Gentil Stadium on January 25, while Mali will face Uganda.
