HAVANA, Mar. 22, 2016 (AMP) — USA 2017 (Qualifiers) : Cuba defeated Bermuda by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Caribbean Cup on Tuesday afternoon at the Estadio Pedro Marrero in Havana.
Cuba dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Gómez in the 29th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Cubans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Luis in the 77th minute.
The result put the Cubans top of Group 3 with 3 points. In their last game, Cuba will meet group leaders French Guiana at the Estadio Pedro Marrero on March 29, while Bermuda will face French Guiana.
