SANTO DOMINGO, Jun. 7, 2016 (AMP) — USA 2017 (Qualifiers) : The Dominican Republic defeated French Guiana by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a Caribbean Cup qualifying game on Tuesday afternoon at the Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez in Santo Domingo.
Faña scored dual goals
French Guiana had started off well by taking the lead in the 22nd minute with a goal by Evens. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Dominicans nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Faña '47, '53).
