Caribbean Cup 2017 Qualifiers : Suriname beats Guyana 3-2 in extra time
PARAMARIBO, Oct. 8, 2016 (AMP) — USA 2017 (Qualifiers) : Suriname defeated Guyana 3-2 after extra time, in a qualifying game for the 2017 Caribbean Cup on Saturday afternoon at the Andre Kamperveen Stadium in Paramaribo.
The score was still 1-1 after the 90 minutes of regulation time, after goals from Barrington ('4) for Guyana and Kisoor ('58) for Suriname, and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. The Surinameses finally broke through with goals from Talea ('103) and Rozenblad ('110), while McKinzie-Lyle ('120) scored for Guyana.
The result put the Surinamese top of Group 1 with 3 points. In their last game, Suriname will meet Jamaica at the Andre Kamperveen Stadium on November 13, while Guyana will face Jamaica.
