Championship (Week 30) : Forest beats Wigan Athletic 3-0
ENGLAND, Feb. 11, 2015 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 30: Two wins in a row for Nottingham Forest. After their 2-3 win against Brighton & Hove Albion on February 7, the Reds continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 3-0 victory over Wigan Athletic this Wednesday.
Nottingham Forest dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Britt Assombalonga in the 34th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Reds further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Burke '50 and Lansbury '61).
Nottingham Forest FC climbed to 10th place with 40 points from 30 games, 2 points behind Blackburn Rovers FC.
