Blackpool players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Blackpool midfielder Michael Jacobs in the 9th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Bolton Wanderers with a saving goal from Icelandic forward Eiður Guðjohnsen in the 90th minute.
Bolton Wanderers FC climbed to 16th place with 46 points from 40 games, 4 points behind Birmingham City FC, which has a game in hand.
