Championship (Week 34) : Cardiff City beats Preston 2-1
WALES, Feb. 27, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 34: After losing 3-1 to Middlesbrough on February 23, Cardiff City returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Preston this Saturday.
Anthony Pilkington scored dual goals
Cardiff City dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Irish midfielder Anthony Pilkington in the 44th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Cardiff City players further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Pilkington on penalty with just 10 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Cardiff City climbed to 7th place with 52 points from 34 games, 3 points behind Sheffield Wednesday FC.
