Championship (Week 14) : Newcastle beats Ipswich 3-0

ENGLAND, Oct. 22, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 14: Five wins in a row for Newcastle. After their success against Norwich City, Rotherham United, Brentford and Barnsley, the Magpies continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 3-0 victory over Ipswich Town this Saturday.

Ayoze Pérez scored dual goals

Newcastle dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Spanish forward Ayoze Pérez in the 1st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Magpies further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Pérez '73 and Ritchie '78).

Newcastle United remains in first place with 31 points from 14 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up Brighton and Hove Albion FC.
