Championship (Week 19) : Sheffield Wednesday defeats Preston 2-1

ENGLAND, Dec. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 19: Two wins in a row for Sheffield Wednesday. After their 0-2 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers on November 26, the Owls continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 2-1 victory over Preston this Saturday.

Sheffield Wednesday dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Italian forward Fernando Forestieri in the 9th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Owls further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Fletcher on penalty in the 79th minute.

Sheffield Wednesday FC climbed to fifth place with 31 points from 19 games, tie on points with Birmingham City FC.
