Championship (Week 32) : Norwich City and Newcastle play out 2-2 draw
ENGLAND, Feb. 14, 2017 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 32: Newcastle was held to a 2-2 draw by Norwich City on Tuesday.
Norwich City players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Murphy ('12) and Jerome ('17) while Newcastle only scored once Pérez ('1). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Newcastle with a saving goal from Newcastle defender Jamaal Lascelles in the 81st minute.
Newcastle United climbed to first place with 66 points from 31 games, one point ahead of runner-up Brighton and Hove Albion FC.
