CHAN 2016 : DR Congo defeats Ethiopia 3-0
BUTARE, Jan. 17, 2016 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 : DR Congo defeated Ethiopia by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a CHAN group stage game on Sunday afternoon at the Stade Huye in Butare.
DR Congo dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Lusadisu in the 44th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Congoleses further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Heritier Luvumbu '47 and Meschak '57).
The result put the congolese top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, DR Congo will meet Angola at the Stade Huye on January 21, while Ethiopia will face Cameroon.
