CHAN 2016 : DR Congo beats Angola 4-2
BUTARE, Jan. 21, 2016 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 : DR Congo defeated Angola by a score of 4-2 (halftime: 3-0), in a CHAN group stage game on Thursday afternoon at the Stade Huye in Butare.
DR Congo dominated the first half thanks to goals from Munganga ('8), Meschak ('18) and Bolingi ('38). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Congoleses further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Bokadi with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the congolese top of Group B with 6 points. Angola is third with no points. In their last game, DR Congo will meet second-placed Cameroon at the Stade Huye on January 25, while Angola will face Ethiopia.
