Cameroon and DR Congo qualify for the quarter-finals
BUTARE, Jan. 25, 2016 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 : Cameroon defeated DR Congo by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a CHAN group stage game on Monday afternoon at the Stade Huye in Butare.
Cameroon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Atouba in the 40th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Cameroonians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ngamaleu '51 and Nlend '63).
