KIGALI, Jan. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 : Nigeria defeated Niger by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a CHAN group stage game on Monday night at the Nyamirambo Stadium in Kigali.
Chikatara scored tripple goals
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Okoro ('46) and Chikatara ('74, '82, '90).
The result put the Nigerians top of Group C with 3 points. In their next game, Nigeria will meet second-placed Tunisia at the Nyamirambo Stadium on January 22, while Niger will face Guinea.
